The incessant reports of rape cases in Calabar, and other cities in Cross River state is alarming enough to earn the attention of resident journalists, bloggers, and law enforcement agents in the state.
In less than three months, nothing less than 7 cases had been reported to our correspondent by victims of the detestable incident, their friends, and or parent.
In some of such rape cases in Calabar, a girl became pregnant after being raped by 5 different guys, in a similar case, a man, 30, raped his 13 year old neighbour, worse of all cases, a 9 year old girl was raped to death, by a man who claimed he had an understanding with her before proceeding to send her to her early grave sexually.
Why will parents allow their children and wards dress indecently and roam around at ungodly hours and places, with commercial sex workers hanging around every corner, why will boys find pleasure in rape, what are the security agents doing about this.
This write up is to call the attention of the citizenry, the security agents in the state, and to sound warning to those who find pleasure in forcefully having canal knowledge of the opposite and weaker sex.
Rapists are on rampage in Calabar, be warned!
