We are proud to introduce to you DJ Mix Master Brown, proudly Calabar Disk Jockey and Music promoter who resides in Houston Texas. Mix Master Brown is a product of Calabar, (and plays at the annual Calabar Festival). He is doing well in the U.S.A and his music promotion platforms has contributed to the promotion of Nigerian music at home and in the diaspora.
WHO IS DJ MIX MASTER BROWN?
MixmasterBrown “African Dj Of The Year”. A Lagos born and bred dj, hails from Cross River & Delta States. A proud Calabarboy at all ramifications. Spent some time in Jos. His love for music was discovered while in high school (Aguda Grammar school). Brown was only 16 years old when he started spinning records at neighborhood high schools with his family’s music equipment.His sister was so supportive of his skills and talent that she drove to the store to buy him his very first mixer (Gemini Pmx). Losing his dad in 1988 only made him work hard to be a better person.
By the time he left high school, he found himself as the pioneer DJ for the Nation’s number one record store (Tower Records and Tapes) owned by two (2) brothers-DJ Mannix and Collins Akpapunam.
While he was the head boy at Tower Records and Tapes, he mastered the secret and art of mixing.

Mixmaster Brown, now based in Houston Texas, is on a mission, will he make it? Only time will tell.
As a passionate team player,he swings wit the Djs Of Nigeria Groups and is the current Chairman of “Deejays Association Of Nigeria” USA Chapter.
One thing his fans are sure of is that he is one of the best around.
Mixmasterbrown was in Florida for a couple of months and bagged 2nd place as Africa’s best DJ in Central Florida. Worked with the world’s no.1 entertainment company, Walt Disney World.
Back in the 90′s to the early 2000′s,he also worked as an area representative and a show promoter with various event companies.
Mixmasterbrown now C.E.O of a Radio station called ‘Afrijamz’,Africa’s New #1 Global Radio.Tries to promote the African culture,heritage through music and comedy.Which also tries to show the rest of the world how it really is in the Motherland. Afrijamz now has global recognition.Its where Africans go to if they need updates about Africa.
Dj Mixmasterbrown is also an entertainment consultant for Cross River State who supports his annual Dj Event which takes place in Calabar. Undoubted the biggest dj show in the country. The event assembles the best djs of Nigeria and also features international djs from across the globe.
