APC rejects PDP's victory at CRS LGA elections

                                                                              The opposition party in Cross River state, the All progressives Congress (APC) says the local council election of Saturday is a sham and mere charade.

The party says for them, no election was held and that the cross river independent electoral commission as acted on illegality by going ahead with the election without the party participating.

Meanwhile, the PDP in a swift reaction says the APC does not respect the voters by describing the process they turned out for as a sham.

The entire state is agog today, based on the ruling by The High Court in Calabar, yesterday, that it had the jurisdiction to entertain the case instituted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) against Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) for excluding them from participating in the local government elections, just as the electoral body insisted the election would go on.
