The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) on Thursday arrested a former Director-General of the Department of State Security Service, Mr. Ita Ekpenyong, over alleged N17billion fraud in the agency during his tenure.
The arrest is made following the ongoing interrogation of the sacked DG of the agency, Lawal Daura.
The two ex-DSS chiefs could not account for the cash in the last three years, hereby making it pertinent for Ekpenyong, the Calabar born ex DSS boss to be arrested.
