Cross River State Government has reiterated its commitment to providing quality healthcare delivery to the people of the state. The Director General of Cross River State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (CRSPHDA) confirmed on behalf of the Governor, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade penultimate week while inspecting the newly constructed Mayne Avenue (Ekpo Abasi) Health Centre building on Mayne Avenue, Calabar which is ready for commissioning.
The Ekpo Abasi Health Centre is built by the state government through the Calabar South Local Government Area (LGA) for Primary Healthcare services as approved by the State Governor, Senator (Prof) Ben Ayade, who is known to be very passionate about quality and accessible healthcare delivery to Cross Riverians, Dr Edu said, 'the State Government, through its provision of world-class health facilities and programmes, including the Cross River State Health Insurance Scheme, is determined to ensure citizens do not lack modern medical care and intervention'.
Dr. Betta lauded the woman at the helms of affairs in Calabar South, Mrs. Elemi for handling this life saving project which will be of great benefit to the people of Calabar, she implored others occupying such positions to emulate her gesture, to assist government deliver democracy dividends and for the betterment of the society.
The HOLGA of Calabar South, Mrs. Christiana Elemi hinted that the project which started on the 6th of March, 2018 to help meet the health need of the community, will be commissioned by the Deputy Governor, Prof. Ivara Esu in the first week of July and calls on residents of the area to access the facility for healthcare services when commissioned.
