The wave making duo and crooners of the pop song 'Amem’, UNIK Brodaz, are calling on entertainment journalists, broadcasters and bloggers to help tell the world that they are alive and kicking.
This is following the rumour making the rounds in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States that the members who make up the group have passed on.
In a phone chat with one of them, ID, the group’s former lead singer who is now the manager of the group, he said, ‘I and my brothers are very okay, yes truly, we have been receiving calls alleging that we are dead, and I ask them if there are phones in the other world? (laughs). We even played a show in Uyo today, and we are returning to Lagos to continue with the promotion of our video’.
When asked how they feel about the success of the song 'AMEM’, he said the hit song, which is on the lips of everyone in the South-South was not preempted, 'we didn't see it coming, we were very casual about the song, but of course, we put our best to it, like we did to our other songs in the past’.
In the past weeks, since their return from Warri to Uyo, through Calabar, there have been rumours of the death of members of the Akwa Ibom born music group made up of blood brothers .
‘My brother, I don't know where this is coming from, tell the people to call us, feel free to publish our number, ID stated, let people call us to speak with us’. He thanked the DJs and Show Promoters for the support so far, saying that they wouldn't have gathered momentum without their support.
