PMAN fights impersonators in Calabar

Musicians in Cross River State and the general public are hereby warned to stay clear from all sort of meetings in the name of PMAN.
The warning was sounded by the state Chairman, when news broke out of a planned meeting by impersonators claiming to be PMAN in Calabar. It could be recalled that PMAN in Cross River was sometime embattled by a set of people who call themselves 'Band Owners' and referred to by a major number of musicians in the state as dis tractors. The long forgone battle is said to be arising from the belief of this aggrieved musicians who feel they deserve the right to association, and reserve their rights as to which association they should belong to.
Having saddled the boat of musicians in the state for two (2) years to the detriment of his musical career, and without support from the state government, Effiom Trombone state that The Performing Musicians Association in Cross River is experiencing a uprising, which will require a general sanitation of the association in the state. This has led to the publishing of a WARNING on social media which reads 'Please disregard any message sent through sms, BBM, etc, inviting you to attend a meeting with PMAN Cross River State on Friday 1st November...the information is fake and the conveners of the meeting or anybody found at such meeting ground will be dealt with by the Nigerian Police. Please inform others'
Effiom Trombone (Chairman, PMAN CRS)
